Apple Expanding Retail Presence in Saudi Arabia

Apple is significantly expanding its retail presence in Saudi Arabia with a two-phased approach. First, an online Apple Store will launch in summer 2025, offering direct access to Apple products, personalized shopping, and financing options with support in Arabic. Following this, several flagship Apple Stores will open across the country starting in 2026, including an iconic location in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Diriyah, near Riyadh. These stores will provide hands-on product experiences and expert assistance.

Investment and Educational Initiatives

This expansion builds upon Apple's existing investments in Saudi Arabia, including the all-women Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh (launched in 2021) and the recent launch of the coed Apple Foundation Program focused on coding and app development. These programs have contributed to a substantial increase in developer earnings and job creation within the iOS app economy. Apple has invested over $2.6 billion in Saudi companies since 2019.
