After trying to root my China tablet with a lot of auto-root software unsuccessfully, iRoot worked like a charm. It is no longer news that rooting Chinese android tablets running KitKat poses some kind of problem.

I came across a tutorial that suggests I use Root Genius: after downloading and installing it on my laptop, it automatically force closes on every run, displaying some sort of error.

Another method suggests flashing SU files from a custom recovery. I never tried this method.

The method to be used here is very easy and stress free.

First, download iRoot from here (Download)

Install to your windows PC

Download PDAnet and install it on your PC: this helps install your device’s driver.

Now, run iRoot and connect your device. Your device specific driver will automatically start installing if it is not already installed.

Once the installation of the driver is complete, your device id and model will be displayed on the iRoot UI.

Click on “Root.” Then wait for the rooting process to be completed.

On completion, it will display “Complete.” Disconnect your device from the PC. Done!
If you happen to reconnect your device, it should display “Re-root.”

Try to gain su access via any root app… or install root checker.

Or, just open your app menu, click on Kingroot, and it should display Rooted on the min screen.

Note: If your device reboots during the rooting process, do not panic. Its normal!
