Acer, a multinational electronics and hardware corporation based in Taiwan, has had a notably diverse product portfolio encompassing laptops, desktops, tablets, monitors, and other peripherals. However, Acer's involvement in the smartphone market has been limited compared to its prominence in other areas. While the company manufactured smartphones primarily under the "Liquid" and "Iconia" series in the late 2000s and early 2010s, Acer decided to exit the smartphone market in 2016 due to the highly competitive environment dominated by established players like Samsung and Apple, as well as emerging brands from China. Since then, Acer has focused primarily on its core business areas.
