Transferring to Apple Passwords

Apple's new Passwords app offers a streamlined way to manage your logins across all Apple devices. Importing your existing passwords from third-party managers is simple, especially on macOS Sequoia.

Import Process on macOS Sequoia

  1. Export your login data as a CSV file from your current password manager.
  2. Open the Apple Passwords app on your Mac.
  3. Go to File > Import Passwords from File.
  4. Select the exported CSV and click Import.
  5. Delete the CSV file for enhanced security.

This one-time import syncs your logins across all your Apple devices, including iPhone and iPad. While the import feature is currently exclusive to macOS, the convenience of syncing across the Apple ecosystem makes it a worthwhile process. For more on Apple features, check out Apple News updates.
