Google Photos Web App Gets Dark Mode
Google Photos for web now supports a dark theme, joining other Google web apps like Search, YouTube, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, and Gemini. Users can enable it through a new "Appearance" menu in settings, with options for Light, Dark, and "Use device default." The dark theme makes the transition to the image viewer less jarring.
Other Google Photos Updates
- The ability to flip images recently rolled out on Android.
- Other recent updates include the removal of the 'Memories' tab on Android, testing of a prominent row of Favorites, and showing which albums images and videos are in.
This update brings a much-requested feature to the web app, improving user experience, especially in low-light conditions.
