Google Pixel 9a: Leaked Specs Reveal Promising Mid-Range Contender

Leaks suggest the Google Pixel 9a will boast the Tensor G4 chip, aligning it with the Pixel 9 series. It will offer 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1.

The display is expected to be a 6.28-inch screen with a 2424x1080 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 2700 nits peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 will protect the display. The camera system will include a 48MP main lens (Samsung ISOCELL GN8 sensor) and a 13MP ultrawide lens (Sony IMX712 sensor), which is also used for the front-facing camera. A substantial 5100mAh battery will support 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging. The Pixel 9a will also feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Available colors will reportedly include Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, and Peony. The 128GB version is rumored to start at $499, with the Verizon mmWave 5G model priced at $549. The phone will launch with Android 15 and receive seven years of OS and security updates. While an early launch is speculated, Google has yet to confirm a release date.
