How It Works
Accessible via a dedicated button or a "Go deeper" shortcut from AI Overviews, AI Mode replaces the traditional search bar with a chat-style input. Users can upload images, use voice search (mobile only), review search history, and see sources used for responses. The feature leverages Gemini 2.0, the Knowledge Graph, and Shopping Graph for real-time data and employs a query fan-out method for optimal results.
