Huawei officially launched the Mate X6, a foldable smartphone boasting a remarkably thin 4.3mm profile when unfolded. Key improvements include slightly larger displays, an upgraded camera system, and pre-installed HarmonyOS Next.
Display
The Mate X6 features a foldable 7.93-inch LTPO display (2440 x 2240 pixels) with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits peak brightness. The 6.45-inch outer LTPO OLED display also offers a 1-120Hz refresh rate and an even brighter 2500 nits.
Camera
The quad-camera system includes a 50MP main camera (f/1.4-f/4.0), a 48MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, and a hyperspectral sensor for enhanced color accuracy. This setup draws from technology seen in other Huawei devices like the Huawei Mate 60 Pro.
Performance and Battery
While the chipset remains undisclosed, it's expected to be the Kirin 9100. The Mate X6 offers two battery options: 5110mAh and 5200mAh, with 66W wired, 50W wireless, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. For those interested in other charging options, check out Dreame Black Friday Vacuum Deals.
Other Features
The phone supports dual-satellite communication, an advanced cooling system, and second-gen Kunlun Glass for the cover screen. The redesigned hinge is more durable and smoother, and the phone is IPX8 water-resistant. With its focus on Chinese market exclusivity, this release mirrors the strategy seen with the OnePlus Ace 5 and 5 Pro.
Pricing and Availability
The Mate X6 is available in five colors (Gray, White, Black, Red, and Blue) and various storage configurations, starting at CNY 12,999. Currently, it's exclusive to the Chinese market.
