Google is bringing Nest Hub Max's built-in camera to the Home app. This requires a firmware update (F22) that is now available in the stable channel.

Users enrolled in the Public Preview will see a prompt in the Home app to set up the new Nest Cam features. This migration is irreversible.

After the transfer, a live stream from the Nest Hub Max camera appears in the Home app's Favorites tab. The previous Smart Display card is replaced, but Smart Display settings remain accessible in the Devices tab.

This update streamlines camera access within the Google Home ecosystem, offering a more integrated experience. For more details on Google Home and related updates, see Google TV's 2024 Most-Watched Movies and Shows and Google Play's Black Friday App and Hardware Deals.
