One UI 6 Watch: How to Set Custom Workouts
Samsung's One UI 6 for Galaxy Watch introduces custom workouts, enhancing the health suite. This feature addresses the limitations of pre-set workout options, allowing users to create routines tailored to their specific needs.
What are custom workouts?
Previously, smartwatches offered limited workout options, often lacking the flexibility for complex exercise routines. One UI 6 changes this with custom workouts. Users can combine pre-set exercises with custom ones, setting targets and rest times. This provides a more comprehensive and user-friendly fitness tracking experience. This feature is currently available on One UI 7 and above.
How to set a custom workout
Custom workouts can be created on the Galaxy Watch or through the Samsung Health app on a connected phone. The phone app offers a more convenient setup process.
On the Galaxy Watch:
- Open 'My Exercises'.
- Swipe left and tap 'Add'.
- Tap 'Create workout routine'.
- Name the routine and add warm-up/cool-down options.
- Tap 'Add exercises' and select the desired category.
- Add exercises and customize settings for each.
- Tap 'Save'.
Each workout allows customization of power-saving mode, targets, and rest times. For more on Samsung updates, see Samsung One UI 7: Call Recording and AI Transcripts.
