One UI 7: AI-Powered Personalization and Productivity
Samsung's One UI 7, launching April 7, 2025, brings a redesigned interface, AI tools, and deeper personalization. The rollout starts with the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold6/Flip6, and expands to other Galaxy devices.
Enhanced Personalization
One UI 7 offers a cleaner interface with personalized home screens, widgets, and lock screens. The Now Bar provides real-time updates on the lock screen.
AI-Powered Features
- AI Select: Analyze content and take actions like saving a video as a GIF.
- Writing Assist: Refines and restructures text for clarity.
- Drawing Assist: Creates visuals from text prompts, sketches, or photos.
- Audio Eraser: Removes background noise from videos.
Google Gemini Integration
One UI 7 integrates Google Gemini for natural language interaction. Users can search for information or adjust settings using voice commands. For example, asking for nearby pet-friendly Italian restaurants with outdoor seating will provide instant recommendations. This also works for settings; saying "My eyes are feeling tired" will suggest adjusting brightness or enabling Eye Comfort Shield. This is similar to the functionality found in ChatGPT Now Default Assistant on Android.
Release Timeline
The rollout begins April 7 with the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold6/Flip6, S23 series, Z Fold5/Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S9/S10 series. This update builds upon features introduced in previous versions, such as those highlighted in One UI 7.0: Enhanced Features and Audio Eraser.
