One UI 7 Beta Introduces Vertically Scrolling App Drawer
Samsung's One UI 7 beta update introduces a significant change to the Galaxy smartphone experience: a vertically scrolling app drawer. This update replaces the traditional paginated app drawer, offering a more streamlined and efficient way to navigate installed applications. The new vertical scrolling app drawer is the default setting and cannot be reverted to the previous horizontal, paginated view.
Customization Options
While the vertical scrolling is now standard, users can still customize their app drawer experience. Options include sorting apps alphabetically or using a custom arrangement, adjusting the number of app columns from four to five, and even removing the app drawer entirely for an iOS-style home screen. Users can also adjust app icon sizes and toggle app and widget labels.
Additional One UI 7 Updates
Alongside the app drawer redesign, One UI 7 offers further home screen customization options. Users can now adjust app icon sizes, turn off app labels, and turn on labels for widgets. For more information on One UI updates, check out the One UI 7 Beta: Enhanced Security with Knox Matrix article.
