Quick Share App for Windows Gets Visibility Update
Key Changes:
- Change visibility settings directly from the system tray.
- New app animations, including on the "ready to receive" page.
- Bug fixes for URL sharing and other issues.
Google has released a new update (v1.0.2034.4) for its Quick Share app on Windows. This update focuses on improved visibility settings, allowing users to easily switch between sharing modes ("No one," "Your devices," "Contacts," and "Everyone") directly from the system tray icon. Previously, this required opening the full app. The update also includes new animations within the app and addresses several bugs, such as URLs being incorrectly classified as text and a delayed app launch after signing in.
This update follows the recent expansion of Quick Share to ARM-powered Windows PCs. While there's no way to force the update, reinstalling the app will ensure you have the latest version.
