Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra to Stick with 12GB RAM in Base Model

Leaked information suggests the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's base model will retain 12GB of RAM, similar to its predecessor, the S24 Ultra. This contrasts with the trend of increasing RAM in high-end smartphones, especially those with a strong focus on AI capabilities, like the Google Pixel 9 series. Check out iPhone deals here.

The S25 Ultra will reportedly be available in three configurations: 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. While Samsung emphasizes AI features, the decision to maintain 12GB RAM in the base model might seem unusual, given the memory demands of AI processing. This is especially notable considering that even the more affordable base Pixel 9 offers 12GB RAM. Read more about the Samsung Galaxy S25.

This decision aligns with Samsung's previous pattern, as the S22 and S23 Ultra also offered 8GB/12GB options. Interestingly, the 2021 Galaxy S21 Ultra already featured 12GB RAM in its base model. The OnePlus 13 is also anticipated to have a 12GB RAM global variant. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch in late January. OnePlus Pad update information.
