Connect Your Apple Watch to Your Tesla

Tesla now allows you to connect your Apple Watch to your car, offering a convenient alternative to phone apps and key cards. This feature requires the latest software updates: iOS 18, watchOS 11, and Tesla app version 4.29.5 or later.

Setting Up Your Apple Watch

  1. Check Compatibility: Ensure your iPhone and Apple Watch are running the latest software versions. Update the Tesla app from the App Store.
  2. Install Tesla App (iPhone): Download and install the Tesla app on your iPhone, logging in with your Tesla account.
  3. Install Tesla App (Apple Watch): Install the Tesla app on your Apple Watch via the Watch app on your iPhone.
  4. Pair as Key: In the Tesla app on your iPhone, navigate to Security > Phone Key Setup and follow the instructions to add your Apple Watch as a key.
  5. Enable Mobile Access: In your Tesla, enable mobile access via Controls > Safety > Allow Mobile Access. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone and granted to the Tesla app.
