Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi Resigns from Aurora Innovation Board
Focusing on Uber Responsibilities
Dara Khosrowshahi has resigned from the board of autonomous vehicle company Aurora Innovation to concentrate on his role as Uber's CEO. This decision, effective Tuesday, was not due to any disagreement with Aurora, according to the company.
History of Uber and Aurora
Khosrowshahi's involvement with Aurora dates back to 2020 when Uber's self-driving unit, Uber ATG, was merged with Aurora. Uber invested $400 million, gaining a 26% stake and a seat for Khosrowshahi on Aurora's board. The companies continued to collaborate through Uber Freight, utilizing Aurora's autonomous trucking technology. However, Uber also works with other self-driving companies like Waabi.
