Vivo V50: Design, Camera, and Performance Details Revealed

Design and Display

The Vivo V50, heavily inspired by the Vivo S20, will launch in India with three color options: Rose Red, Titanium Grey, and Starry Blue. The Starry Blue variant features Vivo's 3D-Star Technology for a shimmering effect. The phone boasts a quad-curved 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This design choice marks a first for the V-series.

Camera System

The V50's rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, both enhanced with ZEISS optics and Vivo's Aura Light LED ring. A 50MP front camera with autofocus caters to selfie enthusiasts. For other smartphones with advanced camera technology, check out the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

Performance and Battery

Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, the same processor found in the Vivo S20, the V50 promises efficient performance. A large 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support ensures long-lasting usage. The Realme GT 7 also offers flagship-level performance.

Durability and Software

The V50 is IP68 and IP69 rated for water and dust resistance. It runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. While the V50 focuses on performance, some users might prioritize affordability, like the Vivo V50.

Launch Expectations

Vivo is expected to officially launch the V50 in India later this month. The company aims to strengthen its position in the Indian smartphone market, following trends like those seen in the Indian Smartphone Market: vivo's 2024 Triumph.
