WhatsApp is revising its typing indicator for a more conventional user experience. The indicator, previously displayed at the top of the screen, is moving to a more familiar location within the message thread, similar to other popular messaging apps.

This change, initially reported by WABetaInfo, is now becoming available to a wider beta user base, primarily on Android. While some iOS users have also reported seeing the update, it's not as widespread.

The new placement aligns with industry standards and is expected to improve usability. There's no official release date for all users yet.
