Flashing stock firmware on any Mediatek (MTK) device is a quick and straightforward process when using SP FlashTool. How to flash MTK firmware with SP Flashtool
Step One:
Download and install drivers for your device. If you can’t find your device driver, use this guide to download and install the driver.
Step Two:
Download SP Flashtool and your phone’s firmware package.
Step Three:
Extract SP FlashTool and your firmware package to different folders.
Step Four:
Open the SP FlashTool folder and launch SP Flashtool.exe as an administrator.
Step Five:
Click on Scatter-loading, browse and select scatter file from the folder you extracted the downloaded firmware.(e.g, MT6582_Android_scatter.txt)
Step Six:
Click on Download and connect the device to the PC via a USB cable. The device must be turned off, before attaching to the PC.
Step Seven:
Once the device is connected to the PC, a progress bar will start loading. Wait for it to be completed. A green circle with OK should popup to indicate completion.
Step Eight:
Disconnect the device and perform a factory reset before you power it on fully. Done.
