Galaxy Z Fold 7: Thinner, Bigger, But Same Battery
Key Upgrades and Disappointments
Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 is shaping up to be a significant upgrade, borrowing elements from the Galaxy Z Fold SE. Expect a thinner design, larger display, and changes to S Pen functionality. The hinge and display crease will also see improvements, along with upgrades to both the main and under-display cameras. Enhanced fold detection like that found in the Pixel Fold could also be a welcome addition.
However, the battery capacity will disappointingly remain at 4,400 mAh, the same as the Fold 3 and Fold SE. Charging speeds may also remain unchanged. This stagnation contrasts with competitors like the Vivo V50, known for its enhanced battery performance.
Other Improvements
- Improved hinge and display crease
- Upgraded main and under-display cameras
- Better water and dust resistance
S Pen Changes
The S Pen will likely be redesigned to accommodate the thinner profile, potentially resembling the Apple Pencil approach.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to launch later this year.
