Huawei launched its Mate 70 series, but chipset details remain undisclosed. Initial rumors hinted at a "Kirin 9100," but a leaked image reveals the Kirin 9020.

Kirin 9020: A 12-Core CPU

The Kirin 9020 features a 12-core CPU: two prime cores at 2.5GHz, six mid cores at 2.1GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.6GHz. Some cores have hyperthreading, resulting in two logical cores per physical core.

This setup resembles the Kirin 9010's 2+6+4 logical core arrangement. The prime and mid clusters likely use HiSilicon’s Taishan CPU cores, while the efficiency cores are probably Cortex-A510, similar to earlier Kirin 9000-series processors.

Maleoon 920 GPU

The new Maleoon 920 GPU reaches speeds of up to 840MHz, surpassing the Maleoon 910's 750MHz. Detailed specs are yet to be revealed.

Performance and Availability

Internal tests show the Kirin 9020 outperforms its predecessor by about 40%. It's expected in flagship models like the Mate 70 Pro, Pro+, RS Ultimate, and possibly the Mate X6. The standard Mate 70 might retain the Kirin 9010. Huawei hasn't officially confirmed these details.
