Apple Brings iCloud Passwords Extension to Firefox on Mac

Apple has released an official iCloud Passwords extension for Firefox on Mac, enhancing password management for users. This integration allows seamless access to passwords stored in iCloud Keychain directly within the Firefox browser. The extension enables users to securely autofill passwords and save new ones to iCloud Keychain, making them accessible across Apple devices. It also supports generating verification codes from QR codes.

Previously, Firefox users could only access iCloud Keychain through the Passwords app or Menu Bar app on macOS. This extension streamlines the process, offering a more integrated experience. While the extension appears to have been initially developed by a third party, Apple has now taken ownership and officially released it.

This move improves the browsing experience for Firefox users on Mac by providing direct access to stored passwords. A Windows version is not yet available.
