Karo Task Manager: Now Available on Mac
The collaborative to-do list app, Karo, previously exclusive to iOS, has launched a native Mac app. Designed for simple task delegation, Karo mimics a chat interface for assigning to-dos to family and friends. Similar to other productivity boosts from tech companies, this app aims to streamline task management.
Users create tasks by "chatting" with contacts. Recipients with the Karo app view tasks directly within the app. Those without the app receive a link via iMessage, WhatsApp, or other messaging platforms to view and mark tasks as complete. This cross-platform accessibility is a key feature, especially useful for collaborating with non-iPhone users. This approach simplifies task management, unlike more complex project management tools.
The Mac version mirrors the iOS app's functionality, including setting deadlines, reminders, attaching files, and AI assistance for larger tasks. Home Screen widgets provide quick to-do list overviews. MacWhisper 11 offers similar enhancements for transcription and dictation, further improving productivity on Apple devices.
Karo offers a free trial on both iOS and Mac App Stores, followed by a subscription or lifetime license. The subscription covers both platforms.
