Pixel Studio 1.4 Update: Create and Share Stickers Directly from Gboard
The Pixel Studio app has received a significant update, version 1.4, integrating seamlessly with Gboard for sticker creation and sharing. This update expands upon the previously announced Gboard integration from the December 2024 Feature Drop.
Users can now access Pixel Studio directly from Gboard's sticker picker. A new Pixel Studio tab within Gboard simplifies adding and creating stickers. This feature enhances the existing sticker creation process, offering a more streamlined workflow.
The Pixel Studio app itself has also been redesigned. A dedicated "Stickers" tab within "My projects" provides a centralized location to manage and delete created stickers. This dedicated space improves organization and accessibility compared to previous versions.
Creating stickers is now even more intuitive. Users can generate stickers from existing photos or use the new "Describe your sticker" feature, powered by the same prompt UI used for image creation. This AI-driven functionality allows for more creative and personalized sticker designs.
Beyond stickers, Pixel Studio 1.4 introduces new style suggestions for image creation. These suggestions, potentially available via a server-side update, offer a range of artistic styles, from Freestyle and 3D Cartoon to Watercolor and Patches. This feature expands creative possibilities for users.
This update is currently rolling out for Pixel 9 series devices. For other devices, sideloading is an option.
