Will the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Support Qi2 Wireless Charging?
Rumors suggest the Samsung Galaxy S25 series might adopt the Qi2 wireless charging standard, complete with magnets for charger alignment and accessories. This would be a significant development for Android devices. However, a leaked "Magnet Case" accessory raises questions.
The existence of a separate magnet case, alongside standard cases, suggests Samsung might not integrate Qi2 directly into the S25 phones. Instead, they could rely on cases to provide this functionality, similar to OnePlus' approach with the OnePlus Open and its official cases in China. This contrasts with Apple's MagSafe (Qi2) integration across all official iPhone cases and the HMD Skyline's inclusion of magnets in its cases.
Currently, there isn't enough information to confirm whether the Galaxy S25 will natively support Qi2. More details are expected closer to Samsung's anticipated January 22 launch event. Check out this article about Best Smartwatches of 2024 for more tech updates.
